OLE stands for Object Linking and Embedding, which is kind of a dumb name because you can’t link and embed at the same time. It’s much better to save the image to your hard drive and then use Insert → Picture → From File to insert your images onto your slides. THE FIX: When you paste or drag and drop an image onto a PowerPoint slide, it sometimes creates what is known as an embedded OLE object.
